“Awakening the Genius in each Child”

The Center for Spiritual Living-Fremont, CA has wonderful weekly programs for high school, middle school, and elementary school aged children, plus a nursery.  The children meet on Sundays for a spiritual education with a dedicated staff of teachers. Students are taught principle in a safe, fun and loving atmosphere. We respect each child and honor their uniqueness.  Below are descriptions and formats for each group:

Junior Church (Pre-School-2^nd grade)

Junior Church teaches the children that God is everywhere and there is nothing but God.  They learn that their inner self is their God self. As part of this idea, they are taught that they have choices in how they react to situations.  Spiritual Mind Treatment is taught along with basic Science of Mind lessons. Crafts, games, storytelling and music are used to expand on the ideas for each lesson.

The Junior Youth Force (3^rd-5^th grades and 6^th-8^th grades)

Youth in grades 3 through 8 are provided with guidance through the teachings of the Science of Mind.  They are taught to use spiritual mind treatment and encouraged to examine the choices they make in their lives. Thought provoking lessons, experiential workshops, meditation, improvisation, yoga, artwork, music, and storytelling are the methods used to teach the principles of Science of Mind and help the youth incorporate them into their lives.

Free Flyers (9^th-12^th grades)

The Free Flyers are our High School group that meet every Sunday morning from 11:30am to 1pm to discuss positive experiences that they have had during the week.  They talk about how they have created these experiences ("my life, my world, my choice") and of the power of their minds to be one with God and the God Mind. The accepting, open environment gives teens a safe place to share and grow.  Members can go to international summer and winter camps and various retreats throughout the year.
